Post GMTK Jam
Jam Results
So the 'Game Maker's Toolkit Jam' finally finished! I really enjoyed it, possibly the best jam (out of few, admittedly) that I've entered. I don't mind putting the results here if you're interested.
Not too disappointed, kind of what I'd expected, but it's unfortunate that I couldn't break top 100. But I know I'd feel the same even if I came 2nd though (:P). The response to the game was way better than I expected before signing up so I'm happy overall!
Post-Jam Update
I got a lot of great feedback from the jam. As such I've decided to make a post-jam version of the game. There's no additional content but it exists to try and address much of the feedback I received.
- ADDED: A background grid while playing. You can also choose a few different opacities including completely off in settings
- ADDED: A next level button on the end-screen. It simply takes all the levels as a cycle and advances directly to the next one
- CHANGED: The trail design has been changed
- CHANGED: The levels have been re-ordered
- CHANGED: The 'retry' button now says 'improve'. A small change that I think emphasises the time trial nature of the game (taken from Trackmania lol)
I'm not sure what will happen with this game in the future but either way, thanks for checking it out!
